This post doesn’t include a recipe and is more geared towards food bloggers or people who are thinking of starting a food blog. Next post will include a delicious recipe…but for now, it is something other than a recipe.
I joined Food Blogger Pro shortly after starting my food blog. I started my food blog without a clue with what I was doing and just thought let’s try this…I love to take photos, writing is something I enjoy and I spend much of my day in the kitchen cooking and baking for my family so it seemed like a great idea. And it is a great idea! I love having my food blog, but I will tell you it is a lot of work…more than I thought it would be. I have been doing it for a little while now and still enjoy it even though it is a lot of work. I will tell you one thing…part of why I continue working on my food blog is because of Food Blogger Pro. So many times when I get stuck on something or have a question, my thought is go to Food Blogger Pro to find the answer.
Food Blogger Pro is a site run by Pinch of Yum’s Lindsay and Bjork Ostrom . They have a very successful food blog and at Food Blogger Pro they share many of the things they have learned along their path.
Some of the things I have learned from Food Blogger Pro that has helped my blog are:
How to take better photographs in both natural and artificial light.
How to edit my photos using Photoshop.
How to use social media.
How to build traffic.
How to make an income from my blog.
How to make food videos…which I am just starting out with!
Those are just some of the things that I have learned by using Food Blogger Pro. Another great thing they have is a community forum to ask other bloggers for advice or join Facebook and Pinterest groups. My photographs have gotten much better…it is funny when I look at an old photo that I did in the earlier days of my blog. I remember thinking at the time, wow what a great photograph! Now I look at it and think wow I should really update that photo! Here is one of my recent photos I took. It is using the tips of photography and Photoshop…it is one of my favorite photos I have taken so far.
One of my favorite things about Food Blogger Pro is the monthly live Q&A they do for members. It is either Bjork and Lindsay or just one of them, usually Bjork going live connecting with others that sign up for this. You can submit a question before hand or during the Q&A and they try to answer as many questions as they can. They are both such great people it is nice to listen to them and learn from them.
I am pretty sure I would not be as far as I am with my blog if I didn’t use Food Blogger Pro. I have used them for about two years now. They don’t always have open enrollment, but great news…they have open enrollment now! From June 20-June 27th, you can sign up and become a member. Membership is available monthly or yearly. I would highly suggest it!
Joining Food Blogger Pro is so worth it. I really think it is one of the best investments a blogger can make, especially when they are just getting started. Watching the courses and following the steps will help you see results. When you are stuck on something or need help, just hop on over to Food Blogger Pro and you can get some direction. That is better than searching online and taking up your valuable time searching. You also know you are getting good advice there. I would not wait any longer…if you are thinking about it, go ahead and do it. Sign up today. They only have open enrollment certain times of the year.
It is easy to sign up, but you need to do so quickly as summer enrollment is only open from June 20-27th.
